Water-based epoxy paint kit for floor
This kit with water-based epoxy paint can be used for, among other things, garage floors and workshop floors. In this package you get a water-based epoxy primer (A and B components), a water-based epoxy topcoat (A and B components), a bucket of oven-dried quartz sand and detailed instructions for use.
- Contents: 4 kg primer, 6 kg topcoat, 1.2 kg quartz sand
- Colour: RAL 7038 Agate grey
- Range: Approximately 15-25 m2/kit
- Primer usage time: 45 minutes
- Usage time top coat: 50 minutes
- Use: Indoors
To reduce the risk of errors, the same A component (hardener) is used for the primer and the top coat.
By using quartz sand in the epoxy primer, a good adhesion is achieved, which at the same time provides a strong floor treatment.
The topcoat is rolled on the sand-coated base, it gives a good result that looks like a professional floor covering, which has a light non-slip surface.
The epoxy putty is suitable for treating 15-25 m2 of concrete or floating screed floor, it is a diffusion open system suitable for treating new and older floors.
How to prepare the floor before application:
Sand and remove any concrete sludge from the casting, and vacuum several times to remove all dust.
Floating screed floors (suitable for coating):
- If the floor has been treated with curing or sealer, it must be diamond ground and vacuumed carefully, otherwise there is a risk of poor adhesion and peeling. It is important that the floor is easily absorbent.
- If the floor is newly laid and sufficiently dry, not treated with curing or sealer, the treatment is applied directly.
Check whether any floating putty can be treated with epoxy before starting work.
