RHEINZINK has developed structural mats to create a drainage layer on the backside of zinc as protection against condensation, and also soundproof roofs with zinc cladding.

Zinc roofs can be carried out on substructures with and without ventilation.
In buildings where the zinc cladding is mounted on an unventilated substructure, RHEINZINK recommends using structural mats, which help drain moisture away from the underside of the zinc cladding.
In this way, problems with corrosion and rot in load-bearing structures do not arise as a result of prolonged exposure to moisture.
VAPOZINC is a dividing layer that is made up of two layers: at the bottom, a diffusion-open underlay with a structure mat of curled wool at the top and self-adhesive overlay.
The construction means that moisture between the substructure and the roofing is diverted away, while at the same time the penetration of moisture during the construction phase is reduced thanks to the diffusion-open underroof.
Last but not least, the structure of the curling wool means that the zinc roof is drained and prevents water from collecting on the back of the zinc roof.
