For gluing all Würth vapor retarders/barriers as well as sealing foil on structural surfaces.
Observe the relevant instructions for use for Wütop vapor retarders!
Application surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease. For pretreatment, see the technical data sheet.
Apply the adhesive in 4-8 mm stripes to the foil or connector. When you have applied the strips with adhesive, the foil must be placed tension-free and lightly pressed into place. Do not press the strip flat, the strip must maintain a thickness of ≥1 mm.
The bonding process starts after the adhesive has hardened for some time (16 to 20 hours), depending on the moisture content of the building materials. The adhesion to non-absorbent surfaces is done using the contact adhesive method.
Tested system adhesive for permanent sealing of vapor retarders/barriers indoors without clamping piece in accordance with DIN 4108-7/SIA 180
Approved tightness at a pressure difference of 600 Pa
Air and wind tightness tests performed by the Institute of Building Physics in Stuttgart together with WÜRTH vapor retarders/barriers are available.
No smelly fumes. Odorless and physiologically harmless when hardened.
Permanently adheres vapor retarder/barrier to dry construction related surfaces and is permanently elastic to absorb movement.
Adheres to many different materials
For gluing a wide range of vapor barriers/barriers on all common connections in constructions
Can be used in large temperature ranges
Can also be applied at external and surface temperatures down to -5 °C. Adhesive temperature from +10 °C.
Resistant to UV radiation, weathering and aging
Silicone free
Stable
Resistant to freezing down to -30 °C
Does not contain formaldehyde, chlorine or heavy metals
High degree of wetting properties, even on uneven surfaces
Can also be used for kraft paper and fleece
Note
Non-stressed joints can be reassembled due to the self-adhesive function of the adhesive film.
When working at temperatures below +15 °C, it is recommended to work with a professional glue gun, item no.: 0891 300 310.
The hardened WÜTOP adhesive film is generally very water-repellent, but you should avoid working with it in places where the humidity is always high, e.g. swimming pools or other wet areas.
